DESCRIPTION:Qualifies for 1.5 CPD hours. \nDirector\, Leah Howie\, and Katherine Faryna and Farrah Linklater of the Law Reform Commission of Saskatchewan\, will provide an overview of the Law Reform Commission’s Reform of The Libel and Slander Act project. The Commission is currently consulting on this project and is seeking input from the bar\, including: \n1. What aspects of The Libel and Slander Act are in need of modernization? Is new legislation required?\n2. Which aspects of the law of defamation should be codified in legislation? Which should be left to be developed by the common law?\n3. How can The Libel and Slander Act be reformed to ensure those who have been defamed can seek an effective and timely remedy?\n4.
